Architects at the end of 2009
Architecture | 23.12.2009 | 1 CommentsAnother year is almost over. How did we, architects, do in the last decade? Did we accomplish our objectives? Did we give anything back to the society? Or did we all get sucked up in the “system”?
Here is a link from Los Angeles Times written by architecture critic Christopher Hawthorne. I found it quite interesting, and true in some cases, and would like to share it with you if you haven’t read it yet.
As Christopher mentioned at the end of the article, I hope we all “… likely to spend the next decade battling to shape a new definition of what architecture is, means and can do” to be more creative, effective, productive, successful, and politically incorrect when need to be!
Wherever you are and whatever you are celebrating, I wish you a happy holiday and all the best!
See you in 2010…

It appears Architecture in China is on a Constructivist path, just what the communists
in Russia dreamed of! So many buildings out of balance imagine the situation when natural
disaster such as an earthquke hits such buildings that are already out of balance!
Why are they creating such monsters?
