The sixth annual Architectural Digest Home Design Show, returning to New York City’s Pier 94 March 8-11, 2007, will feature the best in home products from nearly 300 companies. The annual four-day Show open to the public Friday to Sunday with an interior design trade and VIP consumer preview on Thursday comprises more than 110,000 square feet of display space, and is shopped by designers and consumers alike for the latest in design directions. The Architectural Digest Home Design Show also offers free designer consultations, special exhibits and educational seminars led by industry luminaries. Last year, the Show attracted more than 25,000 attended over the course of four days.

Produced by Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. (MMPI) and co-sponsored by The New York Times, the Architectural Digest Home Design Show covers a broad range of home design categories, from home furnishings and accessories to art & antiques, kitchen and bath products to flooring, wall coverings, lighting and more. 2007 exhibitors include: Roche Bobois, Clive Christian, William Haines, Holly Hunt, Niedermaier, Old World Weavers, Paola Lenti/Karkula, Poggenpohl, Ligne Roset, Viking and Eva Zeisel.

This year’s Show will feature a number of “green” products that highlight the intersection of high-design with eco-friendly materials. Other Show features and events include:

– Design Consultations: A free consultation area where attendees bring floor plans and photos to get expert answers to their design dilemmas.
– Studio 94: A showcase of cutting-edge product design for small spaces, sponsored by the New York Chapter of the Industrial Design Society of America (IDSA)
– Furniture New York: A group exhibit that features the work of artisans who live and work in New York.
– Educational Programming: Ranging from the vitality of color and texture to new advances in kitchen design, the “Designer Seminar Series,” sponsored by The New York Times, inspires consumers to learn more.
Seminar panelists include: Darryl Carter, Bill Diamond, Roderick Shade, Douglas Wilson and many more.
– Book Signings: On Friday, March 9 at 3:00 p.m., legendary designer Eva Zeisel, who celebrated her 100th birthday this November, will sign copies of Eva Zeisel On Design and Eva Zeisel: by Lucie Young. For a complete schedule of book signings, visit www.archdigesthomeshow.com
– Poggenpohl Culinary Pavilion: A high-style kitchen area with cooking demonstrations and seminars led by celebrity chefs and kitchen design experts.
