Between Euro 2008 and NBA finals, I finally had a chance last night to watch Charlie Rose’s discussion with Pritzker Prize winner architects Jean Nouvel, Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid and Renzo Piano. It was a good one hour conversation about what architecture mean to these famous architects. Even though they are tough competitors, they seemed quite friendly.
Zaha Hadid, only women in the panel, was very impressive, and went in length in her design process. I like Renzo Piano’s comment about architects should live 200 years, because there are too much to learn and do!
Charlie Rose got lost in couple of the answers when it got too technical. We need more programs like this one, if networks ever take a break from nonsense reality shows. The program aired on Thursday June 5th, and you can watch it here.
Ohh and one more thing, did you notice all of them, except Piano, wore “black”?

awesome!!!
