New Practices Roundtable

Center for Architecture, 536 LaGuardia Place
The mission statement of the AIA| NY New Practices Committee states that it shall serve as a forum for exploring new and evolving models of architecture and design practices. This is the first in a series of roundtable open discussions to develop and broaden that definition; what makes a new and evolving model of architecture and what characterizes a design practice.

The new practice committee sponsors a biennial competition and organizes various events throughout the year. They will be staging roundtable discussions after each event to help this new committee further the discussion on practice and the needs of “new? firms.

All are welcome; membership in the AIA is not required to attend events or to join the committee.
