Luxury hotelier Four Seasons has opened its 74th property world wide—this one on Koh Samui island in Thailand. Featuring 60 villas surrounded by 88 pools, Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, Thailand is a remote waterfront retreat, built into the landscape of the Laem Yai peninsula, and invisible from the sea. Four Seasons also has resorts in Chiang Mai and in the Golden Triangle—the meeting point of Thailand, Laos, and Burma.
Nestled on stilts among jackfruit, mango, and coconut trees (all 856 coconut trees on the property were retained during construction), the villas are inspired by traditional Southern Thai residences. Most are on a hillside; two beach front villas and two residences can only be accessed via the beach.
