Finally people realized the real danger to the planet earth and now everyone is talking about “green” and “environment” and “energy-efficiency”. Architects around the world are competing to design the most environmental friendly and energy-efficient homes. We should all do our parts. As an everyone-can-do example; couple weeks ago the manager of the apartment complex that I live in changed all the light bulbs due to the high utility bills. Now electric bills are lower and our light bulbs are more energy efficient and I feel good about it.
This subject is the cover story of the every major publication. Time magazine’s April 3, 2006 issue “Be Worried. Be Very Worried” and April 9, 2007 issue “The Global Warming Survival Guide” are a good starting point to read and learn. Another article is “The New Wave of Energy Efficient Homes” by Bernward Janzing in Der Spiegel.

For visual references, I highly recommend (if you still haven’t seen it!) Al Gore’s Oscar winning documentary “An Inconvenient Truth”. BBC nature documentary series “Planet Earth” which is co-produced with Discovery channel is breathtaking. So far I watched 7 episodes and make me even more passionate to protect the “life” in general.

you did it very simple for everybody to understand and since you also did it to your own home you have managed to see the difference by just changing the lightbulbs.
I live in a tropical climate, i was wondering if you come across something for our climate.
thanks and more power
