It takes time to train myself to sit back, not to lean forward! Because the back support of this chair is amazing. I highly recommend it. Convincing the boss to get an ergonomic chair is not easy, because it costs money! I know what you are going thru! Did you try to contact someone from Humanscale? They can come in, do a demonstration, and even leave a chair for you to test for a couple of weeks. That is how we did it in my office. If you are in Los Angeles area, I can contact to the Humanscale representative who helped us with the chair. She will be more than happy to help you out. The chair your boss is planning to buy seems too robotic! I am not sure how the back works, because there are two pieces. Is it comfortable? I am wondering how you like your chair now that you've had it for about a month now. I haven't convinced my boss that I'm worth a $1,000 office chair yet. He has agreed to get me an ergohuman chair http://www.1officefurnituremall.com/eurotech-ergohuman-chairs.htm because it is under his $700 mark. I have never had a mesh chair though and am skeptical.
