See-Through Hotel, Norway

Belgian-born architect Carsten Höller has developed a unique sculpture, which resembles a giant floating crystal on the sea. The sculpture, which doubles as a hotel room, is constructed from semi transparent glass which allows one way viewing from the inside. The glass walls, ceilings and floors allows the guest to experience the surrounding oceanic environment in an uninterrupted manner. The nesna Vacation Centre in Norway are keen on running the project as a permanent hotel, making it a popular visitors destination through its network of hotel recommendations. This is a great example of when art meets business to produce a unique product.
