International Conference on Sustainable Development in Engineering and Technology

The College of Engineering and Technology at UTAS-Al Mussanah is hosting a landmark international conference on sustainable development in engineering and technology, titled "Sustainable Development in Engineering and Technology – ICSDET 2025."

The conference aims to bring together researchers and industry experts from various engineering disciplines to discuss the latest advancements in sustainable development.

The conference will feature keynote speakers from the academic and industrial sectors, including five renowned experts in their respective fields.

The conference will cover key topics such as innovations in computing technologies, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, communication systems, electronics, and telecommunication networks.

The conference will also explore sustainable and renewable energy systems, energy efficiency, and thermal management in the mechanical engineering discipline.

The electrical engineering discipline will focus on electrical power systems, electrical machines, and electrical drives.

The civil and architectural engineering discipline will cover building design and construction, urban planning, and infrastructure development.

The conference will provide a platform for participants to engage in discussions, networking, and knowledge sharing, and to showcase their skills and knowledge through technical exhibitions and student competitions.

The conference will take place on April 30th and May 1st, 2025, in Oman, and is expected to attract over 300 participants from over 20 countries.

The conference will support Oman Vision 2040, which aims to support innovation, encourage eco-friendly practices, and enhance the sustainability of engineering projects to achieve economic diversification, environmental preservation, and knowledge-driven progress.
