About ArkitecTRUE

Our Mission

ArkitecTRUE was founded with a simple yet powerful mission: to help architects, designers, students, and homeowners everywhere understand and create great buildings with confidence, through approachable guidance and free tools that make planning, designing, and building clearer, more rewarding, and more inspiring.

We believe that everyone who cares about the built environment, from curious first-timers to seasoned professionals, deserves access to accurate tools, comprehensive resources, and trustworthy guidance. Our platform bridges the gap between intimidating jargon and confident, well-informed decisions about styles, materials, structure, energy, sustainability, and design.

Through our free collection of tools, we empower people to make informed decisions about room dimensions, material coverage, roof pitch, building cost, energy efficiency, and sustainable design. Every tool is designed with real-world applicability in mind, tested against the day-to-day realities of designing and building, and continuously improved based on user feedback. To go deeper, explore our Architectural Styles & Iconic Buildings museum, with galleries on the great architectural styles, the world’s most iconic buildings and landmarks, and the building elements that define them. For structural, cost, and safety matters, please always consult a licensed architect, structural engineer, or qualified building professional.

Our Story

ArkitecTRUE emerged from a need we experienced firsthand. While trying to sort through conflicting advice and dense technical references, we noticed a common challenge: the lack of accessible, accurate tools for the everyday decisions that come with planning, designing, and building.

Great buildings rely heavily on curiosity and a little understanding, which are invaluable. However, good design also benefits from clear answers about how much material a space needs, how steep a roof should be, what a build might cost, how efficiently a building performs, and how sustainable a design really is. We saw an opportunity to combine well-researched architecture knowledge with modern tools to help people make confident, everyday decisions and get more out of every project.

Our team began developing tools that we wished existed when we started our own design journeys. Each calculator and guide was created to solve real problems encountered at the drawing board, on the job site, and at the planning desk. We tested every tool against real projects, refined the logic based on feedback, and ensured that the results reflected current, widely accepted design and construction guidance.

Today, ArkitecTRUE serves active users worldwide, from first-time renovators to lifelong design enthusiasts. Our tools have helped people size up rooms, plan material take-offs, work out roof pitch, estimate build cost, assess energy efficiency, and build confident habits around good design.

Our Core Values

Our Expertise

ArkitecTRUE’s tools and guides are developed and maintained by a team with extensive architecture and building experience across multiple domains:

Our team includes experienced design enthusiasts and researchers who bring years of combined experience to tool development. We regularly consult architecture references and trusted experts to ensure our content reflects current best practices. Our content is informational and is not professional advice, and we always encourage consulting a licensed architect, structural engineer, or qualified building professional for structural, cost, and safety matters.

Looking Forward

The future of architecture lies in the intelligent combination of curiosity and confident design with modern tools and clear knowledge. At ArkitecTRUE, we’re committed to staying at the forefront of this evolution.

Our development roadmap includes expanded tools for design, materials, sustainability, and project planning. We’re also working on multilingual support to serve the global design community better, and developing specialized guidance for different styles, building types, and projects.

Most importantly, we remain committed to keeping our tools free and accessible. As we grow, we’ll continue to prioritize user needs, ensuring that everyone has access to practical architecture tools regardless of their budget.
