The town is seeking to create a cohesive and attractive downtown that will encourage economic growth and attract new residents. The design standards will address a range of issues, including pedestrian safety, accessibility, parking, and aesthetics. The new standards will be based on the town’s existing design guidelines, but will be more comprehensive and specific. They will also be informed by feedback from residents, businesses, and other stakeholders. The design standards will be implemented gradually, starting with the new five-story building and then expanding to other properties in the downtown area.
