We are a design-oriented, award-winning mid-sized firm in New York City, and we are currently seeking a talented and motivated Intermediate Architect to join our dynamic team. As an Intermediate Architect at PBDW Architects, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects across various sectors, including education, culture, commercial, and residential. Our practice has a strong focus on new construction and design in historic contexts, which provides a unique blend of challenge and creativity. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong foundation in architecture and preservation, with a minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in US architecture firms. Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD, as well as excellent organizational and time management skills, are essential. In terms of responsibilities, you will be tasked with developing design and construction documents, performing field and conditions surveys, and reporting on project progress. You will also be responsible for providing technical guidance on materials and specifications, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and working independently as well as collaboratively. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture and/or Historic Preservation

  • English proficiency required, both spoken and written
  • Legal US work status required
